Hope In Obama Blog

The big challenges Barack Obama is facing are the financial catastrophe, change gun low and get it under control, better education system, health care coverage, the Middle East crisis and the relationship with Muslim world and more.  These challenges will not be easy to deal with and will take long span of time.

The USA lost over 2 million jobs in 2008. Obama’s financial group are requested to develop a plan along with $825 billion stimulus package to rescue banks

He has promised to include a plan to provide $50 billion to jumpstart the economy; end tax breaks for companies that create jobs with good benefits. And impose profit tax on oil companies in order to provide a $1,000 emergency rebate to American middle class families.

We hope he will be able to promote a safe and prosperous future for all of humanity whether it’s Muslim, Hindous, Jews, Christian…etc. based on mutual interest and mutual respect

The Mideast crisis is in the top of Obama’s agenda. He is already contacted the Arab leaders in his first week in office to help find long-term solutions for the dilemma in Palestine.  He also promised to end the war in Iraq and withdraw the American troops from Iraq by 2010 However, he still wanted to increase the number of American troops in Afghanistan which I don’t agree with.  He should let these countries take care of their own problems.

What would you do if you became the president of the United States? Would you do anything different?

I’m posting a responce here for 2 reasons. I took a look at your group and I found 2 things I thought were a bit scary.

1. In the recent news, this is written: INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TO THIS GROUP, TO SHOW YOUR LOYALTY TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
This scared me as no one should be “loyal” to a president. If anything they should be loyal to their country. Presidents come and go every 4/8 years but your country is always there.

2. On the wall: Hey guys, tell everyone how you feel about the new world leader on the blog site! http://hopeinobama.com
I might be taking this out of the context it was meant for but Mr. Obama is not a world leader, he is the leader of the U.S. I do hope that he will work with other countries but i do not like to refer to him as a world leader.

Please do not take my hesitations the wrong way. I wish Mr. Obama all the best in his presidency.

Well! now what? He did his first major effort to fix the economy. He was in harry to fix the economy, billion of dollars and not clear how it will be spent without outlining the priority? However, I still believe he did a good job by spending on projects that create jobs

I know he is an eloquent speaker but I have never seen a person who can influence others as much as he has. The only other person I saw that did that was Hitler.

Obama’s group knows how to promote him and is very media savy. I even saw an Obama book in the HSC gift shop addessed to children.

My hope in Obama is to separate Politics from Religion once and for all (Religion and Politics should never go together).
